New Cross & Deptford Families First

Providing Quality Family Learning and Support

"NCD Families First provides an excellent start for our youngest children.  There are 106 Church of England schools in the Diocese of Southwark from Woolwich in the East to Richmond in the West and from Lambeth to Reigate in the South. These schools are at the very heart of our Christian mission. They give our children a first class education but so much more: our education is built on a strong moral foundation.  The instinct to recognise the difference between right and wrong will stay with them throughout their life.   What is more all our practical experience confirms that the work of NCD Families First Ltd  will prepare children to get off to an excellent start in their primary school."

I am writing to tell you how I was impressed last Thursday. First that took me was the way the room was set out, covering all the areas. Also what impressed me that we were all informed of where the fire exit was and also reminded that mobile phones were not allowed to be used. The staff were very child orientated were they interaction was excellent. They responded to each individual child-it was so good, my grandson screamed when it was time to go home. I would highly recommend this session on Thursday afternoon I will definitely be going back there!

"Fantastic sessions with different themes each week.  Out of the 5 nurseries my daughter has attended this the only place she looks forward to attending".

"NCD Families First is based in my part of the Diocese and I have watched how they have developed their services for local families who rate them as the best in the borough.  The new service for two year olds is designed to do something special.  Our children come from a wide range of circumstances.  The service aims to give all of them what they need to get the best from their future schools and from the rest of their lives".

"The best Stay and Play group.  It has really helped my sons interactions and play.  I have taken ideas home which he loves...we look forward to coming every Thursday!

"St James has been lifeline for me and my daughter.  I didn't know any other parents in this area.  I felt very isolated when she was younger but it has really helped coming to St James regularly and talking to other mums.  The staff organise the best early years activities I have been to.  Its a great place to learn"
